Renewing the Party

Post  Stormwhitelab on Thu Jul 08, 2010 3:54 pm

A lot has happened in the past month - a lot of negative things. The party isn't in the greatest shape, but we can fix it. We've lost our spot in Congress, the commune was closed due to lack of interest, we have an inactive Party President, and Canadians no longer get updates on the progress of the party.

We need to refresh the party, and bring it back to a progressive state. Since changing to the SPeC, there has been little policy discussion within the party and there has been less engagement with Canadians, despite the fact we made this change to be more appealing.

I will be running for Party President again this month, after a month-long break. Between now and election time, I will work on plans that we can present as our platform, and ways we can renew our party commune and reengage with Canadians.

Don't give up on the party yet. The next month will be very different from the one we've just experienced.

I agree completely! I'm a new party member but I think that in V2 socialism can play a huge role in making the average Canadian and the nation as a whole stronger. I've been thinking about joining for a while, and thought the idea of a commune system promising, but I haven't heard much for a while. Hope I can help out!

Thanks for the mask. It's good to be back with the, now more appropriately named, Socialist Party of eCanada. Since I started playing around 3 months ago I've done a lot of wondering. I had a short stint with the then Communist party of eCanada and also worked for the commune for a time. After a couple months of non politically affiliated soul searching I find myself back where it all began, with new found enthusiasm.
The eWorld is buzzing about the possibility that certain socialist policies may be the answer to many of the challenges being faced by the markets and military strategists. While socialism is a possible key to stabilizing the markets it may be down right necessary to have worker bee communes supporting the military. Time management could make this reality because if our forces are to compete, training (expensive training at that) will take up the majority of there day. The cost of supplying the army will be unsustainable under a capitalist system.
Storm what you had to say above has me pumped that this coming month could be very successful for us. I think the name change was key and that it will be much more attractive to newcommers once a new recruitment strategy is implemented. I rejoined after I read that you were running again for PP. Last time I was here we had a very promising month under your supervision and I expect no different this time around. You have my vote.
